Slavers from the far south of the old lands. They built great towers topped with huge bonfires, and used powerful magics in defense of their settlements. Their ships were sleek and powerful slave galleys, and the bulk of their armed forces are drawn from their slaves.
The term Rottargi was adopted by the island peoples from the Geagh. Its literal translation is “black-armored men.” It refers to the ubiquitous black-armored overseers that always accompany Rottargi attacks, not the bulk of the soldiers.
The Jarl and his huscarls discovered a ruined Rottargi tower in the inland hills, and within it a suit of Rottargi armor pierced to the wall with a great wooden spear. The armor was incapable of containing a human form, and strange supports and bladders inside led to the belief that the creatures animating the armor were in fact a form of ooze.
